Kgalagadi Nomadic Camp
Only open from 29 March until 29 April 2013

Kgalagadi Nomadic Camp will be located in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park for a limited period over the peak season – from 29 March until 29 April 2013.

Where the red dunes and scrub fade into infinity and herds of springbok, gemsbok, eland and blue wildebeest follow the seasons, where imposing camel thorn trees provide share for huge black-mane lions and vantage points for leopard and many raptors... this is the Kgalgadi Transfrontier Park!

An amalgamation of the Kalahari Gemsbok National Park in South Africa (proclaimed in 1931) and the Gemsbok National Park in Botswana, the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park comprises an area of over 3,6 million hectares – one of the very few conservation areas of this magnitude left in the world! Red sand dunes, spare vegetation and the dry riverbeds of the Nossob and Auob show antelope and predator species off to spectacular advantage and provide excellent photographic opportunities. The Kgalagadi is also a haven for birders, especially those interested in birds of prey.

A total of 10 luxury tents will be established in a remote and scenically stunning location, approximately 20 kilometres south east of Mata Mata, and will be nestled between two dune systems.

Guests will be accommodated in 10 luxury “meru styled” safari tents, each accommodating two adults. Brunch, high tea and dinner will be served daily. It is ideal that guests travel with a 4x4 capable vehicle to camp, although it is possible to reach the camp with a 4x2 diff-lock equipped vehicle.
